Software Repair

We provide software repair services to all computer systems from PCs to Macs, Linux to things you have never heard of. Unlike most computer shops we don’t just wipe your computer and start again. We will help you back up your important information before we even start, we will then run through a full check list of fixes removing viruses, spyware and unwanted software. Your system will then go through our house-keeping checklist to ensure it is running better than ever. Your system is then returned to you with every document, setting and customisation where you left it – just running faster, quieter and cooler.

We will also provide you with a report of any problems found and everything we have done, along with some helpful suggestions to stop the problem returning in the future.

Hardware Repair

Our repair centre undertakes almost any hardware repair. We fix laptops, desktops, X-Boxes and PS3s. We use the highest quality equipment and skilled engineers. Because of our knowledge and experience we can offer lower prices, better quality repairs and just in case... a six month warranty on all repaired hardware.

Recently there has been a rise in hardware faults specifically with laptops, graphics cards and games consoles. This is due to the removal of lead from the manufacturing process, making components less harmful to the environment and easier to recycle. Over the last two years we have retrained to deal with these new problems and we are now equipped to deal with all makes and model of laptop or game system and can fix almost any fault in-house. Some faults are not economically viable to fix and a replacement part may be better value for money; we will always explain your options and leave this choice to you.

X-Box 360

One of the most common failures for the X-Box 360 is known as the Red Ring of Death (RROD) but what most people don’t realise is there can be a number of causes for your system to RROD. Some of these problems can be fixed with a good clean and having conductive heat pads replaced but in the worst case scenario the system needs to be stripped and the solder connecting the graphics processor (GPU) or in some rare cases the central processor (CPU) needs to be replaced.

Many companies offer to repair this fault but fail to do it well. Because of this the system may fail again in very little time. We are very confident of our work and offer a second fix or replacement motherboard should your system fail again within six months. We also offer customer feedback through our website so you can keep track of how well we are doing.

Playstation 3

We repair all faults on the PS3 including the infamous yellow light of death (YLOD) and BluRay laser replacement. Much like the X-Box’s RROD, the PS3 requires solder replacement to ensure the fault does not return. We use a very similar process to fix this issue and give the same six month warranty so you can be sure it won’t happen again.

Please be cautious of other companies in and around Brighton offering X-Box and Playstation repairs. During our lengthy market research we found some companies using a method called reflowing and charging up to £90 with no warranty. Reflowing only fixes the problem temporarily and there are many videos on Youtube showing how to do this. It is not a permanent fix and some people say they have only got another week to three months (maximum) use from a system before it failed again. If you would like to take the cheap route just to get your system running until you can afford a new one, we will do a reflow for £35 but this will not be covered by our standard six month warranty.
